Our fantastic tutor, Kristina, will show you the ins and outs of pattern drafting and fitting, as well as how to wear the perfect colours for your unique style. Say goodbye to the disappointment of ill-fitting or mismatched clothing - we've got you covered. Plus, with our special Colour Analysis workshop, you'll learn how to choose the most flattering shades for your complexion, making you look vibrant, youthful, and confident. You'll even receive a colour swatch to take home and keep with you for future fabric shopping trips.
We'll guide you through the process of measuring and making your own bodice block,(you may even get as far as making and attaching a skirt block too) how to use these body blocks alongside commercial patterns as well as learning how to mainpulate the darts to make many different styles.
Kristina is a fabulous teacher. She is relaxed, fun, really knows pattern cutting inside out and she teaches our colour analysis workshop in an all inclusive interactive way.
During your retreat you can choose to visit Stone Fabrics in Totnes, where you'll have the chance to drool over and buy from their stunning selection of fabrics in your newly discovered colour scheme.

An amazing few days meeting like minded old friends and new. So lovely to have the time and headspace to just sew. There's always help available from Yvonne & Kate if you're stuck and of course fellow participants. We were treated to delicious food and cake as well as comfortable accommodation. Plenty of time to chat, use the hottub, read, walk or more sewing/crafts, just whatever takes your fancy. Highly recommend these retreats but please don't book as it's difficult enough to get a place as it is 🤭😁
What a fantastic time we had. The welcome and care taken by Yvonne and Kate is exceptional. This was our 3rd retreat and it felt like going home to meet old friends. The accommodation is great and food is very yummy. Sewing, eating and Hot Tubbing! Can’t wait for next year!
