Meet Yvonne

Hello, my name is Yvonne and I live in the beautiful county of Devon. I am inspired to create by the world around me...the rolling hills, miles of coastline, the ever changing colours of the natural world and the beauty of the place I love to call home. My passion for creating comes from deep within and is what motivates me to share through teaching, making and the sewing retreats what a great adventure this world of creativity holds. I'd love you to come and join me on this adventure...learn something new, make new friends, take time for you and have some fun!

Welcome to Hip Hip Hooray Studio! It's so lovely to be able to welcome you here.

Our lovely little shop not only has a wonderful array of fabric, haberdashery, beads, buttons, wool, patterns and kits, but we also run lots of fun creative workshops. We are all about community, participation, learning, having fun, making friends and colour!

I teach all sorts of sewing related workshops from dressmaking to freemotion embroidery and rope bowl making. If you would rather learn to sew at your own pace you can book a one to one sewing lesson where you can choose your project and you will have undivided attention to get you started on your sewing journey.

We also have a variety of independent tutors who teach a range of amazing workshops at the studio. For example Lino Printing, Floristry, Upholstery, Felting and Silversmithing.

Here at Hip Hip Hooray we love promoting our family. Not only does my daughter Rosie work in the shop on a Friday and Saturday teaching crochet and other crafts but we also have some of my brother's furniture on display. Mike Temple loves to restore and bring to life Retro pieces of furniture by adding 'Formica' artwork of his own design to these pieces. Not only does he have ready to buy designs on his website but he will also take custom orders. Take a look at his website here
